Hiking routes

Yves has extensive experience working with travel agents on adventure treks in Crete, Ecuador and Canada.

Now he specialises in excursions to all the mountain ranges that can be admired from Casa Domingo, such as the Sierra Huma, Sierra Alcaparaín, Sierra Prieta, Sierra de las Nieves and, of course, the Caminito del Rey.

We design our own walks:

We have developed descriptions of walking routes for all guests, with an indication of distance, time and degree of difficulty, such as:
Lago de Gaitinejo Walk around the artificial lake of Gaitanejo, with a small detour to the “emperor’s chair”, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Caminito del Rey, in the Chorro ravine, and see the vulture hovering in the abyss.
Sierra de las nieves Three walks in the Sierra de las Nieves, unique in the world for its Spanish firs, which have survived only here, including one to the summit of Torrecilla (1,918m).
Sierra de Alcapararín Walk in the Sierra de Alcaparaín with exceptional views of Málaga, the sea and Carratraca.
Senderismo Grajo Walking to Grajo (top of the Sierra Alcaparaín), with stunning views of the sea, the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada, Málaga, etc.
Senderismo Grajo Walk through the Sierra Prieta, starting in the beautiful village of Casarabonela.

Caminito del Rey

B&B Casa Domingo

An impressive path in the walls of a gorge

This is the main attraction of our district. A famous path built at the beginning of the 20th century to access a hydroelectric power station, the path fell into disrepair and became dangerous.

However, after careful restoration, it has become a popular tourist attraction. The trail offers breathtaking views in the middle of a gorge and attracts visitors from all over the world in search of adventure and natural beauty. It is considered one of the most exciting trails in the world.
